A little about me…

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, spouse of a military retiree, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS), and La Leche League Leader (LLLL). I have completed the Associate of Arts in General Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degrees from American Military University. I am currently a student at Western Governors University, in the process of completing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to become a registered nurse. I am also certified in BLS for the Provider and trained in AED use. My husband and I have seven children. It is because of them, especially the first three, that I am where I am today. My breastfeeding journey with each of them was different. Every journey was different because every baby was, and they each had their own challenges. (The parent may know what they are doing, but the baby needs to learn.) My experiences with each of my children taught me many things about human lactation throughout the years. Helping lactating parents meet their own goals is my goal.
